Salad # 140 of 365 - Taylor Farms Asian Chopped Salad With Sesame Ginger Dressing

Tonight I tried the Asian Chopped Salad kit from Taylor Farms.  The salad is made up of savoy and green cabbage, carrots, celery, green onions, cilantro, crispy Wonton strips, sliced toasted almonds and sesame, ginger dressing.  The salad was extremely easy to put together and was delicious.  All of the vegetables tasted fresh and the dressing was a nice combination of sweet and savory.  The salad was inexpensive ($4.99), and with three servings to a bag, it is definitely a bargain salad.

The nutritional information is:  160 calories (per serving), 110 calories from fat, 12 grams of total fat, 330 milligrams of sodium, 13 grams of carbohydrate, 3 grams of fiber, 6 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein.  The protein could easily be boosted with tofu or edamame.  This is definitely an easy family salad, which can be customized any way your family likes.  I'm looking forward to having it again with some orange or tangerine slices added in.
